Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and TBD ("Akadyo", "we", "us"), and they govern your use of the Akadyo app at akadyo.app, this site at akadyo.com, and the Akadyo tools that AI apps can connect to (together, the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

Akadyo turns a topic you want to learn into a course written for you, with lessons, checkpoints, a tutor beside each lesson and saved progress.

Akadyo is free. There are no paid plans and we will not charge you. We may change, add or remove features, or stop offering the Service, and we will try to tell you in advance of any change that takes away something you rely on.

You sign in with a link we email you or with Google. Your account is for you alone. You agree to give us an email address you control, to keep access to that email account and your Google account secure, and to tell us at hello@akadyo.com if you think someone else has used your account.

You must be at least TBD to use Akadyo.

Akadyo does not pay for AI use. To have Akadyo write courses and answer tutor questions, you either add your own Anthropic or OpenAI key, or use Akadyo from an AI app such as Claude or ChatGPT.

• Your key, your account. Calls made with your key are billed by your provider to your account with them, under their terms and usage policies. You are responsible for those charges, for keeping your provider account in good standing, and for any limits you set there.
• How we treat it. We store your key encrypted, never show it back to you, and use it only to do what you ask of Akadyo. You can remove it at any time. Our Privacy Policy has the detail.
• When it stops working. If your provider refuses your key, limits it, or is unavailable, the parts of Akadyo that need AI will stop until the problem is fixed. We are not responsible for your provider's decisions or outages.
• AI apps. When you use Akadyo from an AI app, that app's own terms and policies apply to your use of it, and it acts on your account with the access you gave it.

Courses, tutor answers and explanations are written by AI models. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and they are not professional advice of any kind, including medical, legal or financial advice. Check anything that matters before you rely on it. Videos and links attached to lessons come from third parties, and we do not control them.

You agree not to:

• use the Service to break the law, or to create or share content that is illegal or harmful;
• use the Service in a way that breaks your AI provider's or your AI app's usage policies;
• try to get into accounts or systems you are not allowed to access, or test our security without permission;
• interfere with the Service, overload it, or get around its limits or bot checks;
• scrape the Service or use automated means to access it, other than through the tools we offer AI apps;
• resell the Service, or pretend to be someone else.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

You keep your rights in what you put into Akadyo: your topics, answers and messages. You give us permission to store and process them only as needed to run the Service for you.

The courses written for you are yours to use for your own learning. If you create a share link for a course, anyone with the link who signs in can make their own copy of it, so only share a course you are happy for others to have.

The Service itself, including its software, design and the Akadyo name, belongs to us or our licensors. These terms do not give you any rights in it beyond using the Service as they allow. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.

The Service relies on services we do not control, including Google for sign-in, your AI provider, your AI app, and YouTube for lesson videos. Your use of each is governed by its own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it, and forms part of these terms.

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to TBD.

Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

You agree to cover our losses and reasonable legal costs from claims by others that arise from your breaking these terms, your content, or your use of the Service in a way that infringes someone else's rights.

You can stop using Akadyo at any time. To delete your account and your data, email hello@akadyo.com from the address you sign in with.

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the Service. The sections on AI-written content, your content, our rights, disclaimers and limits on liability, indemnity and governing law continue after your account ends.

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email you before the change takes effect and update the effective date at the top of this page. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply.

These terms are governed by the laws of TBD, and disputes about them will be decided in the courts of TBD, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
